\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe major advantage of thermal ablation in tumour treatment is its capability to treat tumours which are difficult to handle surgically, tumours which are of known volumes and are fixed, and tumours of organs which need to be preserved with their functions intact. The two types of thermal ablation for liver cancer are radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and microwave ablation. In RFA, an electric current is used to heat the tumour cells in the liver and destroy them through one or more probes (electrodes) that usually go through the skin into the tumour. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
