Today, we are proud to share the ongoing journey of Dai Gou, a 13-year-old cat who has recently completed his third course of radiation therapy under the care of Dr. Katrina Sun and our dedicated oncology nursing team.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-047cf8c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"047cf8c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6d11949 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6d11949\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"> May 2023 \u2013 Initial Diagnosis and Treatment<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-effceda elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"effceda\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Dai Gou was diagnosed with an aggressive nasal adenocarcinoma that had invaded the brain. Without treatment, the expected prognosis is often limited to only weeks to a few months. He underwent three sessions of Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRT). Following treatment, his clinical signs improved markedly \u2014 nasal discharge resolved, mouth-breathing ceased, and his overall comfort and demeanour significantly improved.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d79c24c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"d79c24c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-35f5913 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"35f5913\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\"> May 2025 \u2013 Disease Recurrence<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b8f4502 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b8f4502\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Nearly two years later, Dai Gou represented with recurrence of clinical signs, including nosebleeds and increased respiratory effort. After a comprehensive discussion of treatment options with Dr. Katrina, his family elected to proceed with a course of five fractions of palliative radiation therapy. Dai Gou tolerated treatment well and showed a positive clinical response, with improved breathing, restored appetite, and a meaningful enhancement in his quality of life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f084aa2 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"f084aa2\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b0d1ccf elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b0d1ccf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">February 2026 \u2013 Ongoing Management<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f8a7285 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f8a7285\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In early 2026, further disease progression was identified. Demonstrating remarkable resilience, Dai Gou completed a third course of palliative radiation therapy. We are pleased to report that he has again shown clinical improvement and will continue under close monitoring and supportive care from our team.<\/p><p>Dai Gou\u2019s journey highlights the potential benefits of advanced radiation therapy, individualised treatment planning, and continuity of care in managing complex oncologic conditions.
