Similar to human skin, the color of a dog&#8217;s mouth is determined by the presence of pigmented cells. Pigmentation can result in various dog breeds having tongues with spots or patches of color. This unique characteristic is one of the distinguishing features of the breed.<\/p><p>However, if you notice the sudden emergence of spots on your dog&#8217;s tongue that were not there before or if their tongue spots have significantly changed, it is important not to ignore this.
