๐ Salad has completed radiation therapy!
Salad, a true warrior, has finished two full courses of radiation therapy (12 sessions per course) with Dr. Antonio Giuliano and our team.
First course (started in March):
Salad was diagnosed with a large soft tissue sarcoma on her right hind limb, and because surgery could not completely remove the tumor, radiation therapy was recommended as part of her treatment plan. She handled the treatments bravely and recovered well. So far, there has been no sign of the tumor returning at the original site.
Second course (started in September):
After finishing her initial treatment, Salad developed a new soft tissue sarcoma on her left forelimb. The tumor was surgically removed in June but unfortunately recurred along the surgical scar in August. She then underwent a second surgery, followed by another course of radiation therapy starting in September to reduce the risk of it coming back again. Short-term follow-up has been positive, with no current evidence of tumor regrowth.
We are deeply grateful to oncologist Dr. Andrea Mosca for his exceptional care of Salad and for the trust he placed in us through this referral.
Next, Salad will continue with regular check-ups to keep her health on track. May every day ahead be filled with joyful moments for Salad to enjoy together with her loving owners. ๐พ๐
