Dr. Katrina SUN

Dr. Katrina SUN is a registered specialist in veterinary oncology in both Australia and Hong Kong. She graduated with honours from the University of Sydney, Australia, and began her career in general and emergency practice in Perth and Hong Kong. She later completed a small animal rotating internship at an oncology-focused small animal hospital in Melbourne, where she developed a strong interest in medical oncology.
In 2015, Dr. Katrina commenced a three-year veterinary oncology residency at the University of Sydney. During her training, she attained memberships in Small Animal Radiology and Small Animal Internal Medicine with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS). In 2019, she achieved specialist status in veterinary oncology and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (FANZCVS).
For the past six years, Dr. Katrina has held the position of senior veterinary oncologist at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital, where she continues to serve as an academic lecturer. Before joining Harvest Veterinary Oncology Centre (HVOC) and Harvest Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital (HVSEH), she worked as a consultant at a private specialist radiation and medical oncology clinic in Sydney.
Dr. Katrina’s primary professional interests include genetics in canine lymphoma and immunotherapy. She has received multiple research grants for clinical trials involving autologous vaccines in canine lymphoma. In addition to her clinical and research work, Dr. Katrina is an academic tutor with the Centre for Veterinary Education at the University of Sydney and has served as an examination committee member with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
