Lymphoma—Gu Lu

✨Meet our featured patient today!

Gu Lu is a 10-year-old Domestic Shorthair 😸 with a history of nasal discharge for a year that did not improve despite prior treatments. He was subsequently brought to our🚨 Emergency Department due to breathing difficulties (open-mouth breathing) 🙀 where our senior veterinarian Dr. Jaclyn Chitty rendered prompt care and stabilization.

Gu Lu received immediate oxygen supplementation with the help of our advanced temperature regulated oxygen cages, doses of sedative (butorphanol) and round the clock monitoring and nursing care.

A CT scan was subsequently conducted by the Specialist in Anaesthesia and Analgesia. Diagnostic examinations ultimately uncovered a significant tumor in Gu Lu’s lung, which was diagnosed as lymphoma, a form of cancer. Through the teamwork alongside our Specialists in Oncology, Dr. Antonio Giuliano and Dr. Katrina Sun, Gu Lu has made remarkable progress in breathing and is back to being a cheerful, affectionate cat. 😸

We now enjoy seeing Gu Lu’s trips back to our oncologists, and we are happy that he is doing well!
