Dr. Dea Bonello graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Turin in Italy. She also holds a Diploma of Specialist in Veterinary Radiology and a Research Doctorate in Veterinary Internal Medicine.

She began her specialisation journey with an Alternate Residency Program under the mentorship of Prof. Frank Verstraete at the Dentistry Department of the University of California, Davis in the U.S.A., and became one of the first Diplomates of the European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC).

Dr. Bonello has been actively involved in the veterinary dentistry community, serving as President of the EVDC and the Italian Companion Animal Veterinary Association (SCIVAC).

In 2022, Dr. Bonello relocated to Hong Kong, where she headed the Dentistry and Oral Surgery Department at a local veterinary medical centre. As of 2024, she has taken on the role of Head of the Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service at Harvest Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital.
