Dr. Dea graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Turin in Italy. She also holds a Diploma of Specialist in Veterinary Radiology and a Research Doctorate in Veterinary Internal Medicine.

Dr. Dea began her specialisation journey through an Alternate Residency Program under the mentorship of Prof. Frank Verstraete at the Dentistry Department of the University of California, Davis,U.S.A.She is one of the first Diplomates of the European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC).

Since then, Dr. Dea actively involved in the veterinary dentistry community and served as President of the EVDC and the Italian Companion Animal Veterinary Association (SCIVAC).

In 2022, Dr. Dea relocated to Hong Kong and founded the Dentistry and Oral Surgery Department at CityU Veterinary Medical Center. As of 2024, she has taken on the role of Head of the Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service (DOSS) at Harvest Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital (HVSEH).
