Dr YIP Lorraine Long-hei

Dr. Lorraine Yip graduated from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2020. She began her career in shelter medicine at Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) New South Wales. She has since worked in general and referral practices in Hong Kong and Australia, gaining broad clinical experience. 

She developed an interest in anaesthesia and analgesia during her veterinary studies. She has previously completed rotating and anaesthesia specialty internships at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) in Sydney. In 2025, she attained membership to the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia by examination, further consolidating her knowledge in the field. 

Dedicated to advancing her skills and interests, Dr. Lorraine is committed to providing quality care to animals. She hopes to inspire veterinarians, nurses, and other support staff in this field. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places to eat, drawing, reading and spending quality time with her family, friends and her beloved rescue cat, Maru.
