Dr. Joanna graduated from Nottingham in the UK in 2015 and has been in Hong Kong for the last 6 years. After a couple of years in general practice, she started to focus more on emergency care. In 2023, she spent 6 months working in Australia and passed her Australian membership exams in emergency and critical care. She is currently working as locum emergency veterinary surgeon across several clinics in Hong Kong. In addition to this, Dr Jo works as a clinician and is a trustee for a charity veterinary hospital based in Sri Lanka and goes to Sri Lanka as often as possible!

Dr. Joanna enjoys the variety and pace of emergency work and has specific interests in point of care ultrasound, polytrauma, and human factors in veterinary teams. She is strongly committed to compassionate care for both patients and their families.

Outside of work, Dr Jo is a keen trail runner and uses this as an excuse to travel often.
