【Case Sharing】large tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma – Ah Fu’s Cancer Journey

This is Ah Fu, our sweet 11‑year‑old English Bulldog. He has always been the heart of his family. But recently, life threw him a challenge no one expected.

Ah Fu was diagnosed with a large tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma. The cancer had already spread to his retropharyngeal lymph node and lungs, causing severe difficulty eating and trouble breathing. He also had a large heart base mass causing fluid in the chest. It was devastating news, leaving his family heartbroken and the future uncertain.

Still, Ah Fu’s spirit never wavered. Under the expert care of a Specialist in Veterinary Oncology, Dr. Antonio Giuliano, a comprehensive treatment plan was developed. Radiation therapy was recommended as part of his care, and he underwent a carefully planned four‑session palliative radiation course. He also received targeted treatment for the metastases in the lungs and heart base tumour.

Week by week, we saw a transformation. The large swelling on his neck disappeared, and he was no longer experiencing problems with eating and breathing well.

✨ Latest check‑up results:
✅ Neck mass cannot be felt anymore
✅ Heart base is smaller and not longer, causing fluid formation.
✅ Lung metastases reduced in size.

He is a true fighter, and every extra day with him feels like a precious gift. ❤️
